Tale as old as time. A beauty finds herself in love with a beast.
There is nothing more majestic than a strong dark horse. Titan was such an amazing animal to work with. He was very well behaved and only made a few funny faces. I am fairly certain that he was just smiling for the camera.
I seriously fell in love with this horseback riding on the beach session. Julie was absolutely stunning in her dusty rose robe. She really impressed me with her ease in working with such a large animal. They vibed so well together.
Utah Lake is a gorgeous location for any type of portraits. It is beautiful year round. My favorite part were all the wind surfers hanging out on the beach near us. I even caught a few of them in some shots. I guess Utah Lake State Park isn't just for pretty photos, haha!
When I was given the opportunity to photograph Titan & Julie, I immediately said, "HECK YES!" At the time I was so excited and pumped to create some beautiful images. It was a perfect day. The world was just beginning to show signs of spring. Utah Lake is a photographer's dream. During the session I was totally in the zone. I was up, down, switching lenses, close up shots, wide angles... I was work-ing-it. It wasn't until I got back in my car that I finally remembered that I was extremely allergic to horses. I was in photographer mode the whole time! My eyes became puffy, swollen and leaky. I had to drive home with only one eye open. Totally worth it. As a photographer, I love being challenged with new locations, different subjects and fun concepts. Next time I'll just take zyrtec before I go! Being a Utah photographer is a dream. So many amazing creatives to work with!
