Deseret Maternity Session in Eagle Mountain
Hello first time moms! I'm sure the very first thing you did after taking a pregnancy test was Pinterest "Maternity photography"....right?! You know you did! There's something so special about documenting your pregnancy. For some, growing a baby is beautiful, easy, exciting and blissful. For others, it's hard work, disgusting, tiring and never-ending. Regardless of your experience with pregnancy, getting your photos done (in my humble opinion) is absolutely necessary! As a maternity photographer, I love to capture a first time mom's excitement for her growing bundle of joy.
About the session
Amanda and her husband are first time parents. They wanted to capture their family of two (plus some) before baby joined their little fam and made it three. This maternity photo session in Utah County was photographed at the very beginning of 2020. Amanda mentioned in her inquiry email that she was not exactly comfortable in her new baby bump body. This is a very common feeling amongst most pregnant mommas. It's my job. Nay, my mission! To make sure all pregnant moms who step in front of my lens will fall in love with their photos. During a maternity photo session, I'll play music to help ease your nerves and help you feel less insecure. I feel like I'm fairly good at reading the room. Are you in a calm/serious mood? Funny/goofy mood? I'll play off of those feelings for your session as I prompt and pose you in different shots.
About the location
This specific location is on the border of Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain. It's in my literal backyard and is a gorgeous backdrop basically anytime of year. This maternity session was shot in late March which can be a tricky time of year to find a location that isn't too dead, muddy or bleh. This is none of those words! Beautiful golden fields with rolling hills and a trail leading to your next adventure. You can even see Utah Lake and Mountain Timpanogos in the background of some of the images. As a Utah County Photographer, I'm lucky to have such beautiful locations to offer to my clients.
I'd like to add that Eagle Mountain has a stigma about being "so far away" but it's not. As an Eagle Mountain resident, I am literally 30 minutes away from basically everything. So if you're wanting to shoot in this location, don't let the idea of Eagle Mountain scare you away! Make Eagle Mountain your next family photography location! (How's that for a commercial, eh?)
