I only book a limited amount of weddings per year so that I can offer a
high end & exclusive service to my brides.

Although I am based in Utah, I love to travel. Stateside and international wedding inquires are always welcome.

Hello! Welcome to Meghan Hess Photography. I hope you feel at home and happy to be here…can you feel at home on a website? I hope so.

What do you need to know about me as a photographer?

I have been in business since 2014.
I specialize in wedding photography.
Sony is my brand.
If I had to sum up my type of photography into three words, they would be: rich, timeless and adventurous.
I edit all my images to mimic the look and feel of film. My hope is that generations from now, your photos will still be relevant and beautiful.
Booking a wedding collection with me gets you more than just pictures… We will laugh, have fun, listen to music and get to know each other. I absolutely love it when my brides send me photos of their dress or text me about their venue. Your experience with me is just as important as the images you receive.

What inspires me?

As a Utah -based photographer, I find inspiration in events, colors, sights and sound. Music is probably the biggest influence in my photography. I have a love of all types of music! I’m not about to audition on The Voice anytime soon but, I love to sing. Before shooting any session, you’ll find me jamming out to my favorite songs in my car. I am inspired by the lyrics and how a song can make me feel. Depending on the type of session, I’ll usually bring music along for everyone to hear. We might listen to some Michael Buble, Ed Sheeran and always on the playlist… Andy Grammer.

After music, I am most inspired by you, my client! Before any wedding portrait session, I make an effort to meet you and get to know you. It is crucial for me to know who you are as a couple. How did you meet? What are you favorite things to do together? What happened during the proposal? All of these things help me understand you more and inspire me during our photo shoot. Telling your story through images is my favorite thing to do!
